Buzzo the Clown

Let me tell you the story of Buzzo the Clown.
I remember the day oh so well when he came to town,
his nose all red and his shoes so big wearing the funniest hat upon his head.
He would sit on the park bench looking so sad for all to see.
People would stand and stare at Buzzo the Clown sitting so sadly under that tree.
Then one day with curiosity I sat down next to him and ask as only a child could ask.
"What makes you so sad and where has your smile gone?"
At which he replied "My smile has left me it's just not that strong."
Why I ask how could that be no smile on a clown thats was wrong.
He looked at me with eyes so sad and said ,
" You see my child I am not really a clown at all you have been misled."
Then why I ask do you wear those shoes so big and that funny hat upon your head ?
Buzzo looked down at me and replied:
"These shoes are all I have left you see of a father who I loved with such pride.
And this hat upon my head was made with rags to keep out the cold
You see I have no place to call home and no family to call my own.
I am afraid you see that in this world I am but alone."
I took his hand in mine and looked into his eyes so sad and said.
'You are not alone anymore you have a friend in me. "
He looked at me and a smile broke out on his face for all the world to see as he said with glee.
" Thank You for being a friend to me in this world so cold, I can only wish more would break that mold."

For all the homeless people our hearts go out to you.
